Marshal Kris Jensen stays in Mimosa even after the job is completed. Could it be because a local widow is easy on the eye? Could it be that he saw greater things to accomplish? Protection is being offered to this sweet lady to make sure she is safe and secure from any harm. Soon, however, she was captured in hopes that it would flush the Judge out into their foul plan. Killers seek to kill, and that was the intended purpose for the Judge who had issued orders for their nephew to hang because he had committed murder. Now they wanted revenge, and they were bent on achieving it at any cost. The Judge was riding right into an ambush, yet he knew he didn't have a choice... Just as the hanging was about to happen, you can read for yourself about who arrives and saves the day.

The Hanging: Mimosa Tales Book 1 by author Linda Thackeray is a very interesting historical fiction that includes all of the western themes that a reader would expect. The reader will enjoy going along the dusty trail, following the Marshal as he deals with desperate criminals, hangings, shootouts, and the protection of a lady that will capture anyone's heart. There are many captivating moments throughout this book, and it is certainly a fun-filled entertaining western tale that will enable the reader to feel part of the dusty trail.
