The Buggees Bunch is back again with The Journey to China by Nava Almog, with illustrations by Keren Almog-Shalem. This colorful, fun, interactive children’s book is about culture and adventure. As Ming, Sheen, and Yogi go on their first adventure, they see beautiful colors and wonders of Mother Nature - green fields, tall trees, and blue water. As they continue, they begin to see all forms of animals from an elephant, tiger, and a bear to a giraffe. What a breathtaking view they have from the air. Then the rice lantern began to descend so Ming, Sheen, and Yogi prepared themselves to see where they had landed and what new adventure they would encounter. And guess where they landed? Beijing, China where they met a panda, Bon Ton. While in China, Ming, Sheen and Yogi learn a new language, as well as see and experience new things.
I enjoyed reading The Journey to China by Nava Almog because the story was engaging. The links helped to create an interactive experience while the puzzles, surprises and clues to be solved added a special touch to the story. As your child reads through The Journey to China by Nava Almog, it will not only expand their imagination, but introduce them to a whole new world. As Ming, Sheen, and Yogi were exploring China, they were introduced to the Forbidden City, the Great Wall of China, the Terracotta Army (Xi’an), and Shanghai. By reading The Journey to China by Nava Almog, children will not only learn about China, but be introduced to a few words in Chinese. Happy reading!
