Catherine's teacher, Melody Baldwin, specializes in designing wedding bouquets. She's precise when giving instructions. At the beginning of the first chapter, the 'golden rule' of less is more is predominantly used in context. Moving on, it's the first Christmas season that Catherine and her darling will get to spend together. The scene is set in December in London. Charles Yang is a part-time fixer who investigates suspicious deaths from the sunny shores of Spain to the posh boroughs of London. Will the secrets remain hidden? By all means possible, the truth is what stands out the most. In the leafy London borough, the search for answers is only one step toward uncovering the mystery, though let it not deceive you.

This book has mystery and suspense, filled with unexpected outcomes. The storyline has a unique setting. The character development is perfect. I like the author's sense of imagination and how the story's concept is well-integrated. The slight sense of humor used in the writing is also profound. The Learning Curve of Pain Shawe Ruckus looks at all aspects of storytelling and informs the reader precisely. This book is detail-oriented, making sure that everything is put into perspective.

Narrator Deborah Balm is talented in a multitude of ways. Her work on the characters' accents is admirable. Her narration matched the exact details described in the book. I was able to relate to the concept easily. As described in her bio, "She's a British female voice artist with a smidge of sass." Her voice resonates with each character; it almost felt like a play reading. This and other factors are what make the book enjoyable and highly recommended.
