The Marvelous Little Frog is a whimsical, action-packed children’s story, penned and gorgeously illustrated by Alain Brousseau. Olivier has never been afraid of anything. When he wakes up at dawn, long before anyone else in the magic forest, to a strange, powerful blue light glowing off the low-hanging clouds at the top of the mountain, Olivier is not only curious; he is thrilled! Together with Lapinou the rabbit, the cheeky, adventurous little frog, Grenouille, and Tigrou, a fierce, fearless tiger, they must leave their shared home in the magic forest and set off for the mountain to solve the mystery behind the bright light. Except nothing is as it first seems in these dense, uncharted corners of the magic forest. When Olivier and his friends stumble upon floating alien robots repairing the strangest ship and come face to face with an extraterrestrial who can shoot ten meters into the air in a single bound, what’s a boy, his rabbit, tiger, and their little froggy friend to do? The characters are marvelous and fascinating to follow. The descriptions grab your attention from the first page, and as the adventure unfolds, you are swept up into Olivier’s world. It's a ride packed full of adrenaline, hair-raising turns, intrigue, and non-stop action and suspense, all beautifully coordinated. One surprise after another, twist after twist, silly, heartwarming moments and big giggles will have little ones begging for an encore. It is short and sweet and perfectly complemented by bright, playful hand-drawn visuals. A real page-turner!
