The Meditation Guidebook for Beginners: A Mindfulness Meditation Workbook (Mind Improvement for Beginners 3) by Dane Krauss teaches readers about meditation and mindfulness. The author starts with the basics of meditation – the four traditional foundations and history. Readers learn the importance of awareness of the body, feelings, thoughts, and the relationship between all of these and our daily experiences. The author then goes on to discuss the different types of meditation, chakras and auras, acupuncture, how to start, and exercises. Dane Krauss makes sure to show the importance of meditation and listening to one’s own body in both life and the practice of meditation. In addition, the author ends the book with exercises and worksheets to get readers started.

The Meditation Guidebook for Beginners: A Mindfulness Meditation Workbook was exactly what I was hoping for and more. I have been all about mindfulness and meditation recently and quite enjoy it. This book provided me with so much information about it and new tactics to employ to better my practice. I learned about the different concepts that influence what I do during meditation and its importance. I think my favorite part about the book was that it provides the reader with new exercises and worksheets to practice meditation. The author also provides some great words of motivation that helped me persevere through times when I just didn’t want to do anything. Overall, for those looking to get into meditation, I would highly recommend this book, given all the information it holds.
