Cedric Dorson is concluding the battle begun in the first volume of his adventures as the second volume, Path of Madness, begins. Author Jeremy Barandela portrays the epic battle with clarity and a surprise ending for Cedric's friends, who continue the adventure on earth as Cedric takes on the powers of Astoroth, King of the Abyss. Cedric shows amazing strength during the ongoing trials presented by the King, which will help him as he continues his quest to destroy the enemy, Zar Khan. Meanwhile, back on Earth, Cedric’s companions continue on towards their goal of living in peace, thinking that their friend has been killed in the explosion of Death Mountain. All the forces of The Light work at reuniting the group so they can finally put an end to the evil of Zar Khan and restore the continents to a life without fear.

Path of Madness is an excellent story that stands well on its own, even though it is the continuation of another story. Jeremy Barandela has created a complex world of real and fantastic elements that work together to portray the age-old battle between good and evil. Cedric Dorson, the epic hero, demonstrates unselfish courage and determination to rid the world of the Zar Khan, the epitome of evil, to prevent the release of the King of the Abyss and his armies of demons. Barandela has created a world of fantasy and magic that is surprisingly real and orchestrates a tremendous quest with seemingly insurmountable challenges for the destruction of the forces that seek to destroy the world.
