The Tomato Zombie had just met his new unicorn friend on the beach when he learned that she was in trouble. Olive the unicorn could not live in the shallow waters because the Shell King had banished her from the sea as a punishment for something she had done. What had Olive done? While the Tomato Zombie was thinking of a way to help his friend Olive, he stumbled into Sea Skull’s kingdom. It is here that he met Paislee the Pegasus who was Sea Skull’s captive. Most of the creatures in Sea Skull’s kingdom were also prisoners. Why did Sea Skull keep prisoners in his kingdom? The Tomato Zombie comes up with a plan to save his two new friends from their masters. Will he succeed? Find out in Karen Henderson’s The Quest: New Friends and New Enemies.

Lovers of children's fantasy tales will enjoy Karen Henderson’s The Quest. Henderson got me on board and took me away from reality and into a world of imagination. Her short and simple sentences coupled with her consistency in aligning her thoughts made the storyline clearer as she forged an enthralling tale. She gives vivid descriptions of scenes and characters. She uses colorful images to embellish her ideas, which added richness to my imagination. Henderson develops her characters skilfully, boldly highlighting their character traits. The Tomato Zombie is selfless and has a big heart. The book is a stand-alone read, given that it’s the second installment in A Tale of a Tomato Zombie series. There is action and a lot of adventure in this book.
