Carol Lindsey-Berneau, the wife of Jacques Berneau, the unofficial governor of Berneau, finds herself facing an enemy from someone else's past. She just happens to be the only connection from that past. In this third book of the series, the author paints a portrait of revenge, fear, courage, and cunning. He also incorporates his knowledge of medicine, as he has done in his other two books in the series. Carol fears for her son, her husband, and their lives together. She and her friends fight for what is theirs, and they fight for what is right.

K Lynch is a talented author. He takes the reader on a journey to a tropical island where love, friendship, and danger await. The connecting thread in this trilogy is the island Berneau. The tropical paradise offers pleasure, but even in paradise evil has a way of insinuating it. Lynch’s medical expertise adds much reality to this plot. Love, passion, perfect setting, action, and a tightly woven plot builds to a crescendo ending. Not allof this book is fiction. It is up to the reader to determine truth from fiction.

I eagerly await the author’s next venture into the world of fiction. What about it Dr. Lynch? What will you entertain us with next?

Carol Lindsey-Berneau has had some tough times in the past, but has settled into a happy marriage with Jacques Berneau, the unofficial governor of the island paradise known as Berneau. But her past is about to come back and haunt her and the life of her son, Jason, and her husband are in danger. Carol can only sit and pray that her loved ones will be okay as a hurricane bears down on Berneau.

"The Revenge of the Rinellis" is the fast paced action packed third book in K. Lynch's romance-suspense series (the first two books are The Million Dollar Therapist and The Other Side of the Horizon.) This book can be read on its own, but readers of the first two books will be eager to find out how each character's stories turns out, notably Carol's and Jacques. The island setting of Berneau is a nice one - it is a beautiful Caribbean island, a paradise, yet still susceptible to Mother Nature's whims. There is plenty of action and suspense in this book to keep readers turning the pages to find out what happens next. The plot line with Tony Rinelli is especially suspenseful - he is truly an evil character. The impending hurricane adds to the suspense. This book isn't for the squeamish - there are plenty of action scenes and lots of blood - but it's not too gory. The book is like an action movie with the good guys vs. the bad guys and readers will be cheering on the good guys as they read it. Lynch does a good job of wrapping up the series, although it's bittersweet to realize you'll never be visiting Berneau again while reading.

"The Revenge of the Rinellis" is a very fast paced, very well done romance-suspense novel.
