Author Biography

Let's see here, I am a 54 year husband, father and grandfather who just so happens to love science fiction ,fantasy and old school monster flcks. I grew up on marvel comics ,creature double feature ,Saturday morning cartoons and of course Godzilla! These things and a crazy imagination helped to form this writer. But by far most of all my relationship with Jesus christ and reading my favorite book the Bible, has helped me to become a thankful, blessed and committed Christian and servant of my lord and Savior! He is the reason and inspiration for my writing, and my stories are to reflect the love, forgiveness and power salvation he eminates. Also the dangerous reality of Satan and the kingdom of darkness!

The Road To Chidarra is a work of fiction penned by author Keith B. Perrin in the fantasy, action, and Christian subgenres. It is suitable for mature teens and the general adult reading audience. The author introduces readers to a Christian-themed fantasy world where humanity is oppressed by savage gods, monsters, and cruel beings. Amidst the despair, God sends a lone prophet to aid the oppressed people, but the journey to freedom is fraught with anguish, bloodshed, and despair as the forces of darkness fiercely resist. The protagonist's journey from despair to hope, guided by faith and divine intervention, reminds readers of the enduring power of faith in the face of adversity.

Author Keith B. Perrin has crafted a highly engaging novel that masterfully blends elements of fantasy with spiritual allegory, creating a narrative that is both engaging and thought-provoking whilst also staying true to its core Christian beliefs. The vividly depicted landscapes and the intricate mythology drew me in, with atmospheric lexis that immerses readers in a richly imagined fantasy world that combines legend with Christianity in original ways. The theming never felt too overwhelming, but was always a confident and somewhat reassuring presence in the background of such a dark, dangerous world. I also enjoyed the dialogue for the central protagonist, meeting others on the road to self-discovery and facing the monsters of the world with conviction and emotional resonance. Overall, The Road to Chidarra is a compelling read that seamlessly combines elements of fantasy and spirituality, which will certainly leave readers eagerly anticipating the next installment in the series, myself included.

The Road to Chidarra is a Christian fantasy novella by Keith B. Perrin. Feneer, a warrior prophet of an ancient order makes a treacherous journey through the Argonian forest to reach a lost temple. Soon, he has a terrible vision where he sees distant lands overtaken by darkness and people suffering in pain. He hears the voice of God, who commands him to set the people free. Feneer embarks on his quest, only to find a village completely destroyed. However, five survivers remain. Feneer encourages them and sends them on a journey. They find allies in the guards of Chidarra, who also align themselves to the path of God.

Keith B. Perrin tells an epic fantasy tale through this action-packed novella steeped in biblical lore. The Road to Chidarra takes readers on a captivating fantasy odyssey featuring warrior prophets, brave humans, and monstrous creatures, each more deadlier than the last. Perrin's worldbuilding is phenomenal, and from the very first page you will find yourself immersed in this brutal world where evil threatens to overwhelm all, and hope can only be found in the path of God. This is the age-old story of good versus evil set in a dark fantasy world where danger lurks in every corner. With a cast of compelling characters and an absorbing plot, the author highlights the Christian themes of the narrative with panache. Recommended to Christian fantasy readers.

In The Road to Chidarra by Keith B. Perrin, a traveler encounters ancient symbols and creatures. Feneer faces malevolent forces, resisting them with divine power. Meanwhile, Chidarra's soldiers are pitted against monstrous guardians, guided by a glowing being to appoint Luic as their leader. They journey, receiving guidance before confronting an evil horror, their fate unknown.

The Road to Chidarra by Keith B. Perrin is book one in Perrin's Christian fantasy series, and he does an excellent job of blending a wide range of spiritual themes with thrilling adventure. As should be expected, there is a lot of symbolism throughout the story that ties in, like the Cave of Woe representing the trials humanity faces, and multiple instances of divine intervention that are particularly shown in the form of miraculous occurrences during battles. The writing style is refreshingly simple and straightforward for fantasy, making it accessible to readers who might be new to the genre. Perrin's world-building is top-notch, and I did feel a true immersion into a richly detailed realm where faith and courage are tested. The standout for me was the encounter with Acionna, which really hammered home the soldiers' bravery but more significantly shone a light on the power and potential for a restoration of purity. Perrin's work is a solid entry into this new series, promising further exploration with a conclusion that ties up loose ends but hooks readers with more.
