This short novel contrasts the idea of the perfect family by slowly breaking down the characters and bringing out the bully, the snob, and the murderer. In this short novel, the author focuses on the themes of death, sadness, theft, and murder. Although the plot is slow to develop at first, it soon reveals secret after secret, holding the reader in a state of shock at the drama of it all.
