The Voyages Of The Seven (The Star Agency Chronicles Book 2) by R.E. Weber is a children's fantasy story. Theopolis James Logan is one of seven teenagers taken from Earth by the Affinity, a peaceful alien civilization. Whisked away from their home planet and relocated in this strange alien world, the seven kids must learn to trust one another. The seven kids are thrown together and begin training to defend the universe as part of the Star Agency. Theopolis and his friends become members of The Affinity's secret service, an agency that defends the galaxy against their eternal enemy, the Metah Dah. When a secret weapon is stolen, the fragile peace upheld by the Star Agency crumbles. Suddenly Theopolis and his friends are dumped into a battle for survival. But can they survive a universe so different and more dangerous than their own? Or will the darkness overcome them and tear the Affinity apart? Only time will tell...
The Voyages Of The Seven is a beautifully written story that takes the reader into a completely different world. R.E. Weber does a nice job of building these deep and rich worlds, full of imagery and imagination that fill the pages with so many pictures. I could see every scene that was described, every creature that walked into a room, with a clarity that comes from good writing. I was very impressed with this story and think young sci fi fans will enjoy it very much.
