Donna had a very  close relationship with her mother and her six brothers and sisters, although she was closest to her one brother Billy. She feared her father who not only had a violent temper but was also mentally and physically abusive.  Donna usually felt the brunt of his actions.  He would take out his frustrations from his job on his family. When she was  six years old, when he began the sexual abuse. The graphic account of her father’s sexual abuse was the beginning of Donna’s scarred life  mentally and physically.

Dr. Boyd’s counseling has helped her through three failed  marriages, the birth of a son at fifteen yrs old, her promiscuous behavior, a nervous breakdown, blackouts where she does not remember  what happened, and voices in her head. As the sessions continue more and more of the personalities emerge.

For anyone that has ever been abused, whether mentally or physically as a child, there is help. You can find “Your Way Back.”  The mind has hidden recesses where we lock the bad things away.   We forget them, but eventually they work there way out.
