Tracy Million Simmons lives and writes in Kansas where she makes a home with her husband and three teenagers. She is a member of the Kansas Authors Club and is currently the club's yearbook editor. Tracy is a past mini-fellowship winner from the Kansas Arts Commission and has been an honorable mention in the annual Kansas Voices contest.

When a story begins with large circus animals spread across a Midwestern highway as Tiger Hunting does, you know that author Tracy Million Simmons has one heck of a tale in store for the reader. Jeni is on her way back home to Kansas from Texas when she spots a dolphin on the side of the road. The reason for Jeni’s visit to Kansas is her younger brother’s graduation, but inside the trunk of her car reveals that she has left her boyfriend James, who unfortunately doesn’t seem to notice or care that she’s gone. After coming to the conclusion that she has simply been playing the role of follower in her own life, Jeni helps in the search for the tiger on the loose. On her search she realizes that she too has been lost for quite some time and vows to find herself, as clichéd as that might sound.
The most unexpected thing about Tiger Hunting is just how funny it is. Never mind that a tiger is on the loose, but relationship discussions with a cheeky ape called Orville kick the hilarity up a notch. Tracy Million Simmons has quite a unique voice and a flair for description, propelling the reader right into the heart of western Kansas and Dodge.
Filled with gypsies, bearded ladies, overbearing parents and renewed friendships, Tiger Hunting is a uniquely entertaining look at what it can really be like to go home again. The fast pace of the book will have you laughing along as Jeni and a wacky cast of colorful characters continue to search for the elusive tigress.
