In Tired Mama Bear by author Jessia Buhman, readers meet Mama Bear, a lovable but exhausted mother to her baby cubs. Written as a sweet love letter to every tired mom, this book is incredibly charming. Raising a family is hard, and it takes hard work. Sometimes, it results in a messy den, a dependence on coffee, or, if you’re like me, wearing the same pajama set three times in a row. However, what is non-negotiable is the love that each mother has for their kids, and how they would do anything for them. This is the perfect book to read as a family and to celebrate the moms who work around the clock to be present for their kids.
Tired Mama Bear by Jessica Buhman is a beautiful, commemorative picture book remembering how much moms do for their families. They might be exhausted and yawning as they read this book to their child before bedtime. But amidst the never-ending comparison game that social media seems to constantly encourage, moms are doing enough. This is a great book to remind moms of their worth and to encourage kids to recognize how much moms do for the household. Younger audiences will enjoy how simple the prose is and how easy it is to follow along. The illustrations are absolutely darling, with my favorite being the bear in the little robe. All in all, the entire book is so cute that it will have you smiling throughout the pages.
