Together: A Journey Of Godly Marriage by Sarah Coleman is the inspiring story of the author's journey from lonely single life to happily married after. In this candid read, we get glimpses into the author's life; like what her life was like before she met her soulmate, as she walks you through her courtship (starting with that imperfect, but memorable first date), and what her blissful married life entails. There's also highlights of special times, dates, and romantic trips, all while touching on various scriptures and stories from the word of God. I especially found fascinating the meaning of the Hebrew word, ‘Qarah’, and the author’s enlightening take on it. The story skips around a bit, with the message always leading to the light of God’s love and His will for marriage.
The friendly style of Together had me feeling welcome from page one. By the book’s end, I felt like I’d sat down and had a cup of coffee (well, tea for me) with Sarah Coleman while I listened to her go over some of the finer points of marriage, like how she enjoys the hot brew with her husband every morning as a beloved way of connecting with him each day. She offers lots of tips and Godly advice for all married couples, from the newlywed to those celebrating their twenty-fifth year. And this book is a celebration of the institution of marriage. Sarah Coleman honors it with her words and in her own married life. Her message is short, sweet and to the point, making it the perfect bridal shower or anniversary gift.
