Together to the End is a bone-chilling, sci-fi horror novella by K.S. Vale. Four Null Reapers board the drifting Harrow of Providence ship in deep space on behalf of Ebonmaster Kharos Veyne. He has ordered the former convicts to retrieve an ancient relic called the Nightwrit from the mysterious vessel. However, upon boarding the vessel, Sevron and the three Null Reapers, Veyra, Drenn, and Rollick, soon realize that they have been lied to. Harrow's researchers and crew seemed to have carved themselves into the ship, leaving pieces of themselves in it. Sevron and his colleagues are forced to reconcile with their centuries-old past, of which they have no memories. But there may be hope for them yet, with a surviving researcher who insists he can free them. Can Sevron trust him or the rest of the Null Reapers?
As a fan of sci-fi horror, I absolutely loved reading Together to the End. It's filled with suspense, mystery, and action. Fans of the genre will find plenty of chills and thrills. It's a relatively short read, but K.S. Vale packs so many thrilling sequences into the narrative that you find yourself fully immersed in the book. There are twists and turns that you never see coming. The reveals will shock you to the core. I really liked how the author puts you directly into the characters' headspace. You can almost feel their confusion and fear. Sevron is a fascinating protagonist. And the claustrophobic setting keeps you hooked into the story. This book has only made me more interested in the Doomsday Series. I highly recommend it.
