Trench Coat Pal is a gripping novel surrounding the death of a renowned psychiatrist Dr. Drew Holyoak. Unfortunately, Drew was forced to give up his practice as he was diagnosed with brain cancer. Subsequently, Drew passed away as a recluse. His son, Glen, did not take his death lightly. He was determined to seek revenge on the psychiatrist, Ciaran Hayes, who took over his father’s practice at Tailwind Psychiatry. He needed to ensure that his father’s legacy lived on. Glen’s dirty plan involved infiltrating Ciaran’s life as a faux pharmaceutical sales representative. He deliberately sought to end Ciaran’s solid reputation. In addition, there's an enduring cyber relationship between Glen and his childhood ally, Marnie. Ironically, Marnie is Ciaran’s daughter...

Trench Coat Pal is a very riveting novel. As a reader, the plot envelops you and you realize that you can’t put down the book. This portrays the obvious skill of the author in engaging all readers. The language used is semi-formal and is quite easy to understand. I love the realistic portrayal of the main characters. This element also allows readers to get deeper into the meat of the book. I love the plot within the plot feature of this novel. This is an excellent way of establishing a steady stream of book addicts. What stands out is that all children remember their childhood - whether they were treated well or without much respect and tenderness. Author M.J. Neary conveys the supreme importance of correct parenting and the pitfalls that can arise when little effort is applied in this area by caregivers. Overall, Trench Coat Pal is an awesome read and I commend the author on a job well done.
