Trolling for Murder by Charlotte Stuart is the second book in the Vashon Island Mystery series. The story begins when Lavender Lewis, better known as Lew, finds a dead body near the well-known twenty-foot-tall wooden troll sculpture. A typical early-morning stroll soon became an unforgettable experience—not in a good way. A local teacher was suspected of the murder; however, many people who knew her believed otherwise. Lew decides to take it into her own hands to investigate further and find anything that could lead them to the truth, but as she goes deeper into the investigation, she is faced with more problems than just finding the killer. She is dealing with a dangerous bully, and suddenly there are two missing teenagers. More names are added to her list, and some were people she didn’t want involved. But what if the killer was someone who had become close to her heart? Find out more in Trolling for Murder!

Trolling for Murder by Charlotte Stuart is exciting and at times quite nerve-wracking. The setting is relaxing, and at the same time the events made me nervous. I was on the edge of my seat several times when Lew was in danger. For me, everything felt unexpected, and the mystery was well thought out. I honestly didn’t know who the real culprit was until it was revealed. Because of this, I enjoyed every second of Lew's investigation while I attempted to put everything together on my own. Apart from the mystery, I really liked the details of her island life. I've always wanted a life like that, minus the bullies and crime, of course. Somehow, her leisurely times at home or on the beach relieved any stress I was experiencing. After reading this book, my interest in the Vashon Island Mystery series is piqued even more. I adored this book, and I am eager to read about Lew's next journey. Excellent work!
