In Tuxedo Baby and His Annoying Cousins by Victoria Smith, Tuxedo Baby is worried. He hasn't managed to finish his homework, but it's not his fault. Oh no, it's all down to his cousins. Every time they come to visit, they cause trouble. Tuxedo Baby is well-behaved, but when his cousins are there, he seems to get drawn into all their trouble. One time, Cruz, the biggest, decided they should all fly, even though penguins don't fly! That didn't end well. This time, the penguins get into trouble in the neighbor's orange tree, and even though Tuxedo Baby doesn't want to join in, he has to try to stop them from causing trouble. Guess how that ended! No matter where the cousins go, trouble follows them, and somehow, Tuxedo Baby always gets caught up in it. Can he find a way to have his cousins around but stay out of trouble?
Tuxedo Baby and His Annoying Cousins by Victoria Smith is a funny story about penguins and their adopted parents. The illustrations by Sergii Zavadskyi really help bring the story to life, and it is easy to follow. No doubt, lots of kids will see themselves in these penguins, especially the mischievous ones, but there are also plenty of lessons to be learned from this story. The first is about making the right choices and understanding right from wrong. They'll also learn about the importance of family and friends and how to balance having fun without always getting into mischief and trouble. This is an enjoyable story about choices but it's a fun story that kids will love to read all the time. Highly recommended for kids of all ages.
