Geza Tatrallyay’s latest novel, Twisted Fates, is the third and final story in his Twisted trilogy. This time we find crime novelist Greg Martens and his wife, former Interpol agent Anne Rossiter, on a mission to rescue their friend, Julia, from the clutches of powerful Russians with ties to the underworld. Julia has been kidnapped and brutalized; her only hope is that Greg and Anne can track her down and rescue her. Julia’s profession involves monitoring nuclear material at various Russian sites and the criminal gang — arms dealers and sex traffickers — have their sights set on kidnapping Julia and using her to steal nuclear material to sell to terrorists. But Anne gets too close and is kidnapped herself. It will take all the tenacity Greg and his Interpol friends can muster to get her back.
As in the previous novels in the series, the story is set in the murky world of sex slavery and terrorism; a world where powerful people do terrible things. Those readers who’ve been gripped by Tatrallyay’s first two novels in the series won’t be disappointed by Twisted Fates. Familiar characters ensure the reader will want to follow their every move. The pace is as fast as that of the earlier books, the writing flawless and the research exhaustive. The story itself is intriguing and suspenseful and, as always, full of surprises, especially as the story nears its denouement. Twisted Fates does deliver and more. It is an excellent conclusion to the trilogy and worth well waiting for.
