U Turn, God Turns: The Journey, The Messages...Conqueror! is about the author’s spiritual awakening; not only his rebirth into the things of God, but the acknowledgement of God’s hand throughout his life, from the day he was born. It is a great journey where we are exposed to the choices, both good and bad, made by author Michael Vincent Robinson. This book is an inspiration to help us understand our value in God’s eyes and to help us to change and become what God wants for us in faith and love. God knows us personally and he will never give up on us.

Author Michael Vincent Robinson did a great job writing this book in a way that is interesting to the reader, more like a tale than a real-life story. He uses passages from the Bible and expands them to the reader’s understanding. He also provides heavy doses of spiritual messages in the sense that he compares his life, from his name to everything else, as a spiritual message from God. I think that it is not overly preachy since the author is talking about himself and his trials and the lessons he has learned from them. Later, he describes how God helped him to change and come back to the light. This book will inspire the reader to try a bit harder and to never give up on oneself. Also, it will leave you with a sense that God really loves you and is aware of you, no matter what, and that we can break any bonds of evil with God’s help.

Michael Vincent Robinson writes his personal life story in U Turn, God Turns. Michael takes you down the path of his life, showing you the highways and the byways. He was born into a devoted Christian home in Oklahoma in the early 1960s, coming of age during the pivotal times of the 1970s. Michael had a love for music and poetry and was exposed to great teachers and spiritual mentors growing up. However, he got involved in the “boulevard” lifestyle at a very young age and continued his secret lifestyle into his adulthood. It took a tragedy at eighteen to discover he “was destined for greater things.” God continually shed His Light in the midst of Michael’s darkest places. After a while, his lifestyle begins to takes its toll. He soon finds himself as the sole survivor of his college roommates. Recognizing he must cease his secret lifestyle, he begins to praise God in a deeper way. Michael receives deliverance, but is still plagued by the remnants of past relationships. He realizes he has lost a part of himself with each partner. Through all of life’s hardships, Michael remained under the shadow of the Almighty. He received God’s healing touch on several occasions and saw the manifestation of His glory through dreams. God takes Michael from the bondage of his past “to a place of promise, purpose and destiny.”

U Turn, God Turns conveys a difficult message. It portrays the life of a divided individual. This book is written simplistically from the author’s heart and from his point of view. The beginning chapters were written rather passively. However, in the latter chapters, the author’s persuasive writing style begins to develop and take shape. The chapter titles were creatively unique; Mr. Robinson used street signs and terminology such as highway, avenue, square and court, keeping with the theme of his title U Turn, God Turns. Another aspect of his writing worthy of noting is the use of scriptural number symbolism throughout the text. In the same manner, the biblical scriptures corresponded well and shed light on the points the author was addressing. I appreciated the inclusion of the personal and family photos. Photos draw the reader into the story by giving us a face to the character. Mr. Robinson gives credit where credit is due, alluding many times to those who contributed to his turn-around and life success. Michael Vincent Robinson’s message in U Turns is: God will bring you to the place where “all is well with your soul.” He encourages his readers to embrace their journey with God, to plant seeds of hope, and to help others make the necessary U Turns in their lives. Sometimes down the path of life, we need to make a U turn to get us back on course. When we do God turns everything around.

The road that this author travelled on his life’s journey was not always smoothly paved, but bumpy. Michael Vincent Robinson often lost his way, and that impeded the goals he wanted to achieve while travelling on this route. He came from a loving Christian home, but was coerced by other boys into sexual acts his family would not approve of. A car accident that almost took his life made Michael Vincent Robinson aware that God had not given up on him. Despite being unemployed and homeless, the author never lost faith, remaining a strong believer. But his sexual preference brought guilt, and that was a battle he fought. U Turn, God Turns describes this author’s life story.

Michael Vincent Robinson gives a very detailed account of his life from a child to adulthood. This book is written in a format that reads as though the author is casually telling his story to someone in person. That is what makes the biography more interesting. Life dealt many blows to this writer, and he expresses his thoughts and emotions on these issues very nicely. The story is thought provoking and is one that is also motivational and inspiring. There are persons with similar problems who will be able to relate to the pain and struggles Michael Vincent Robinson experienced. I can understand why U Turn, God Turns is the chosen title for this book, and I think the illustrate cover matches it well.

U Turn, God Turns by Michael Vincent Robinson takes us into an insightful narrative by the author that speaks of many things that happen in life … from happiness to tragedy, addiction, nearly being homeless and a path that was self destructive. We find out how the writer found mercy through God and managed to find a new song in his life journey to follow, something better than the path he was on before. We all have a journey and in this book we find out how one man took his journey in life from the wrong way to the right way by making a U turn with the help of faith.

Have you ever sat and had a conversation with a good friend on what things were like for them in the past? In that conversation you find out that when they found God or the faith that gives them a purpose is when everything changed? That is what reading Michael Vincent Robinson’s story feels like. It is conversational and enjoyable and a book that tells a story. As a life story, you can tell Michael Vincent Robinson has had some interesting times; there are parts that read like the best of Shakespeare’s stage dramas to me and that kept me interested. Finding faith is a very personal thing and it is both inspirational and generous of Michael Vincent Robinson to share his journey with us. The book kept me interested in his story from start to finish. It is well written and has a fantastic conversational tone to keep a reader engaged.

U Turn, God Turns: The Journey, The Messages...Conqueror! by Michael Vincent Robinson is an interesting journey where the author takes readers along the path of his life. The book gives a good view of his journey and his faith in God which helps him overcome the problems he faces. The book is a useful guide that can be referred to by readers on their destined journey. The power of prayer in our lives is reiterated in the book where the author reaffirms that worship and prayer will help in unlocking many doors. God's handiwork in creation is praised in the book and his support in transforming one's life is inspirational.

It is an uplifting read, though not excessively religious or spiritual. There are motivational quotes from the Scriptures which constantly remind you of the presence of God and His divinity. They are used in the right places, adding to their effectiveness. The signs and wonders of God in our lives are like a ray of hope for those who are lost. The interesting concept that runs through the book is that if you turn, God turns to make your life more fulfilling and enriching. The book is an excellent read and I would recommend it to readers because it gives a broader perspective on God and His supreme power. The author's fears, trials and triumphs also encourage readers to communicate their inner difficulties and find a solution to resolve them peacefully.

Overall the book U Turn, God Turns was really a book that walks you through a journey of what a person on this earth can actually go through and the best part is that you can feel and see the MIGHTY WORKS OF THE LORD!
You painted true pictures of people from your past. Reading your words, we could really visualize the people standing right in front of us.
Thank you for being so opened about very intimate things in your life and you were so clever when using the choice of words to describe things that we yet don't want to talk about.
God certainly planted a seed of greatness, a seed of obedience and a seed of strength in you because you are here to tell us your story, to share your journey with strangers.
We applaud you Mr. Michael Vincent Robinson!!

I've known Bro. Robinson for a couple of years now, and have always known his worship to be very unique, genuine, and authentic. After reading U Turn, God Turns, I understand why. As men, we tend to hide our true emotions, feelings, and praise. I thank Bro. Robinson for allowing God to use him to be transparent through his testimony and through his worship. As you read this book, you will not only see how God has shown favor in Bro. Robinson's life, but also how He has shown His grace and mercy upon yours.

U Turn by Mike Robinson is a must read! He gives readers a deep and personal view of what he went through, masterfully written so that you felt the aches, pains, doubts, growth, and success in each chapter. His love for God will appeal to everyone who has ever gone through trial and tribulation but held on to God's unchanging hand to reclaim the victory! Thank God for allowing U Turns!

"U turn,God turns" is such an excellent work. The author's transparency serves as a testament to God's grace and deliverance even in those times when stray away from our purpose. Furthermore, his use of euphemisms helps people to start a conversation on those difficult subjects that we would rather bury inside of ourselves. It is my hope that people will use this book as a resource as they navigate their way to destiny. Start your journey....

Reading "U Turn,God Turns" feels as though you're sitting in a living room talking with a good friend. It has the feel of a broadway stage theatre drama! The book provides an open lens to the world and psychology of a natural born leader, his failures, triumphs, fears & successes. I loved the insight offered surrounding the humanity of Christ in a tangible way during a time of great loss for Robinson. I often thought of one of my favorite Psalms while reading that "A hundred may fall at your side, but it will not come near you...." -Psalms 91:7. Robinson does an excellent job of illustrating for the reader what non-violence looks like in the face of opposition. He teaches believers how to have fun when searching for the Lords 'signs & wonders' in everyday life situations. Ultimately, it's a great read.

U Turn, God Turns was an interesting read because of the struggles that the author faced. His transparency and honesty spoke volumes of his commitment to God and what he needed to do to completely surrender to His will. I recommend that ALL read this book to gain insight on how confessions of the soul can assist in receiving the blessings that God has for us because when U Turn, God Turns
