Unicorns Love Undies by Geoffrey Ward and Fei Zheng-Ward is a well-written book that educates children on potty training and personal hygiene. Urina is a cheerful unicorn ballerina who loves to dance; however, she has a problem that affects her dancing. Whenever her diaper gets full, it slows her down. As Mom takes Urina for a diaper change, she realizes that Urina is outgrowing the diaper routine. Now, Urina must use undies instead of diapers, learn to listen to her body, and dance her way to the potty. This amazing book will help children develop more confidence in themselves.
I enjoyed reading this book, as it contains positive lessons that will be beneficial to kids. The colorful pages and brilliant illustrations by Nabila Amanda are visually appealing and make it more engaging for kids. Every aspect of this book is designed to meet the cognitive needs of young readers, ranging from the well-developed characters to the simple, clear, and direct sentences. Through this book, children will learn to confidently engage in what they enjoy doing, just like Urina enjoyed dancing. They will also be able to practice basic hygiene skills, such as wiping, flushing, and washing their hands after using the potty. The writing is concise, well-paced, and easy for kids to comprehend. It features themes of self-care, overcoming fear, parental support, and more. I recommend Unicorns Love Undies by Geoffrey Ward and Fei Zheng-Ward to all children and anyone involved in raising or educating toddlers.
