Vikings: The Viking Age from Beginning to End by Stephan Weaver is a historical look at the Vikings. It starts from the Invasion of Britain and goes right through to the end of the Viking era, telling us all about the raids the Vikings were famous for carrying out. It tells us of the craftsmanship that went into the longboats that we all know, and it talks of the myths that surround the Vikings, and the facts that sometimes become muddied. We learn everything about the Vikings, their lives and their legends in this compact history book. We learn of their gods and of the archaeological finds that document their time in this world.

Vikings: The Viking Age from Beginning to End is an interesting read. It is informative, especially for those who know nothing about the Vikings and I did learn a few things I didn’t know before. It was written in a nice style, easy to read and absorb, and the photographs added a nice dimension to the book. It was nice to read a different aspect on the Vikings, a new point of view, and a fresh look at their culture. I did enjoy the read and found it very fascinating.
