In Walking A Friend Home, Kathy Arnos shares stories about her experience of being with loved ones in their final days and a compelling exploration of spiritual topics. The book starts by introducing us to the author's biological family, revealing the challenges she had and the lessons she learned from being there for her loved ones as they prepared for their journey home. After meeting her family, we see Kathy helping friends deal with the frightening reality of dying and drawing profound lessons from the experiences. Whether they're battling an illness or eating a last meal, each character's story reveals the intricate challenges that come with losing a friend or relative. Tap into Kathy's wealth of knowledge and her nuanced thoughts on how to live and die well, as well as how to prepare physically, emotionally, and spiritually for our final moments.

Kathy Arnos doesn't hold back but shares both the great and bad aspects of her relationships with her family. This makes her story very relatable. As I read about the difficulty she had with forgiving her stepmother, I remembered the time I found it hard to forgive my father for being very strict. Also, the diverse characters and themes offer an engaging read. I enjoyed meeting a mother who developed one of the first consumer makeup kits to hit the market and all the other amazing characters. Kathy's book offers readers a chance to feel unconditional love, kindness, and forgiveness in their walks with their dying friends and family. It also engages readers with eye-opening spiritual stories and deep thoughts that inspire curiosity about the supernatural world. Walking A Friend Home is a book worth keeping and practicing for life!
