Welcome to the Forest of Looms by Neil Heath-Hartley is a magical tale with adventure, self-discovery, and a fight against evil. Mother Nature has made a very important decision. When a special fairy is born during the lunar eclipse, she decides that the time has come to pass the wand on to the next Mother Nature once she’s of age. Maggie-Lyn is that special fairy. She grows up not understanding why she’s different from everyone else or why she’s the only one without wings. When she and her friend Aaron are sent to investigate a death, they meet a goblin named Brazen along the way and encounter a dangerous evil that could cost Maggie-Lyn everything.

Neil Heath-Hartley's writing is geared towards older children with a story that depicts an emotional journey that has them fighting against evil, dangerous creatures, tragic loss, and stunning magic. Maggie-Lyn has a moment of self-discovery where she gets to see not only how special she is but how important she is to stop a dangerous threat against them. The forest descriptions are magical and stunning, which provides danger and sets the stage for the epic fight Maggie-Lyn must face in order to become Mother Nature. Welcome to the Forest of Looms is a magical tale about one girl with a grand destiny who is drawn into a mystery that takes her on a journey that is full of magic, danger, action, and discovery.
