Author Biography

Just a guy from Florida that loves writing. I got my start in highschool and have never looked back since. This story came to me on the fly and when I wrote the first chapter I knew I had to sit down and plan the rest of the story out! I try to incorporate a lot of nature aspects into my work because growing up in Florida there is so much beauty in the nature here. So I hope you give it a chance and thank you!

The assassination of the empress of Athos, orchestrated by the High King Torsai Treth of the Polarian kingdom, was followed by a raging war between the Athos empire and the Polarian kingdom. After more than two years of war, Prince Halcion, the son of Emperor Tiberius of Athos, defeated and subdued the Polarian kingdom. This victory was enough to make Prince Halcion the Crown prince of Athos and the rightful heir to the throne - as custom dictated. With Emperor Tiberius away receiving treatment for injuries suffered in the war, High Minister Varim had assumed the throne. Led by Varim, the emperor’s council declined to recognize Prince Halcion as the Crown prince, despite his great victory. As if this was not enough, Varim obliged Prince Halcion to take yet another test to determine his worthiness for the crown. With Varim secretly plotting against the royal family and the mighty empire of Athos facing a threat from outlaws and terrorists, Halcion finds himself treading a path beset with tough choices. Lovers of science fiction with a dystopian and paranormal touch will find Wielders of Woe by Jeffery A. Roarke Jr. to be an engrossing read. Featuring exciting action, plot twists, adventure, suspense, thrill, and an amazing group of role players, the author hatched a spell-binding plot. Every time I thought I had figured out where the story was headed, it would take a huge turn leaving me flipping through page after page. The storyline is based on a compelling tale of greed, vengeance, betrayal, sacrifices, loyalty, deception, love, war, outlaws, gods, royalty, and corrupt councilmen. The vivid depiction of the action had me feeling as if I was right there as events unfolded. One moment I was observing Halcion fight his way out of the claws of his adversaries using his powers and the next thing I knew I would be in the palace of Athos following Halcion’s disagreements with High Minister Varim and the council. Halcion is that type of ambitious, selfless, sharp-witted, stubborn, and brave character who never goes down without a fight.
