Wisdom for Living After Being Fired: How to Live Spiritually with Unemployment by Tommy S.W. Wong is an inspirational book. No one wants to be fired, but for some, losing their job is just the beginning. It isn’t only losing income and colleagues who might have become friends. Some people lose everything – their family, their house, their friends. It can lead to illness through depression and, for some, it leads to the loss of their lives. Not everyone can walk into another job so easily. Not everyone has the wherewithal to start a business of their own. This book is Tom’s story. It comprises the conversations he had with Guru Harry, conversations that tried to find a spiritual solution to a situation that can so easily spiral out of control. This book is for those who are struggling with unemployment, struggling to come to terms with being fired, and struggling to find any help at all.

Wisdom for Living After Being Fired: How to Live Spiritually with Unemployment by Tommy S.W. Wong is number ten in a series of Guru Harry books. I found this book to be quite helpful and I don’t believe it is just for those who have had the misfortune of losing their jobs. If you are gainfully employed and believe that you are sitting safely, read this book because you really do not know what is around the corner. Nothing in life is certain and that includes your job. It is an insightful book, one written in an engaging manner, a style that makes it easy to read and follow, and there is much to be gained from reading it. There is spiritual and practical advice, tips on helping you to come to terms with the situation, and to reduce the impact that it has on you and your life. Excellent book, well worth a read by anyone.
