Would You Rather Elf by Court Nee is part of The Readers Huddle Collection. Nobody knows where Quilliam the Elf comes from, but everyone knows where he will be when he’s bored. He’ll be hanging around the kids, asking his terrible “Would You Rather” questions. All he’s interested in is getting into as much mischief as he can. His questions might seem innocent until he puts a spin on things and uses magic to make kids' choices come true – whether they want them to or not. But one day, the tables are turned. What happens when the elf is forced to answer a Would You Rather Question? Can a child outwit Quilliam?
Would You Rather Elf by Court Nee is a wonderfully illustrated children’s book about a mischievous elf and the trouble he causes for children. It’s a quirky tale that holds your attention right from the start as each page reveals yet another act of mischief Quilliam the Elf causes, some of them not very nice at all. There is a message here. While making the right choice is important, sometimes we don’t get the choice we want, and we must make the best of a bad situation. This is a fun tale for kids of all ages, although beware – it might put some mischievous ideas into their heads. Thankfully, kids don’t have magic and can’t make these things happen! Overall, I think all kids will love this story, especially when the tables are turned on our cheeky elf. They’ll want this book read over and over again.
