Author Bill Wiese, in his book 23 Minutes in Hell: One Man's Story About What He Saw, Heard, and Felt in That Place of Torment, certainly gives the reader much to think about and consider in his personal experience that occurred early one morning. While Wiese shares his experience, he also does it in a way that isn't egotistical or with a 'look at me' attitude. The reader can sense his humility and awe of this personal experience and how he desires to share this experience with others. The book is broken down into bite size pieces with great examples, stories, testimonies, pictures, and more.

Author Wiese has traveled the world, sharing the information found within this book, and has seen many commit their lives to Jesus Christ. While this book shares his experience, it also focuses upon scripture and what the Bible says regarding each situation that he wrote about. There are great notes, scripture references, and testimonies that makes this book more than just a story about an experience. Rather, it is one that can be researched and studied for oneself. Anyone that questions the existence of hell, is curious about many of its features, or doesn't understand what hell is even about, this is certainly the book to read. This isn't a preachy book, yet it is a very powerful book that gets right to the heart of the matter and causes the reader to make some major decisions within their life as to how they believe and how they will live. This is a much needed book for the hour in which we live.
