How much fun would it be to travel to space and create a new colony? Raegan and RJ find out in Raegan and RJ in Space: Colonizing the Galaxy for Christ. Richard M. Collins has created an awesome graphic novel of how five families leave New Hope, Tennessee and travel to the Alpha Centauri Star System in order to set up a new colony called New Hope on a new planet called New Bethlehem. On the way, Raegan and RJ are called upon to complete several missions and earn medals for one of them. The trip takes six months, even with the shuttle cruising at a speed of 9 times the speed of light. During that time, the kids continue with their schooling, but have a little bit of fun as well. Once they reach New Bethlehem, they set up the colony and prepare to celebrate the first Christmas in New Hope.
Richard M. Collins has created a masterpiece with Raegan and RJ in Space: Colonizing the Galaxy for Christ. The creativity of the story and the superb graphics make this something that will likely capture the attention of anyone who takes a moment to pick it up. Subtle references to the Christian faith of the families and their mission make it an excellent tool for evangelism as well. The technology and science behind the mission make it believable and the adventures that Raegan and RJ enjoy add elements of action to keep the interest of the reader. Well-designed, well-written and extremely creative, Raegan and RJ in Space: Colonizing the Galaxy for Christ is an excellent resource for youth evangelism that is also fun to read.
