Danielle isn’t happy with her life. Her boss is constantly hitting on her for a date, the current boyfriend is a cheater, and she has a house and a car she hates. Add to all of that a secret that constantly haunts every aspect of her life and you’ve got a seriously disturbed young lady. On her way to a job, “Dani” has a car accident. A young man named Gabe comes along to help and the events that follow will change her life forever.
With her second book,3 Days in Paradise, Chameleon has joined the ranks of several up and coming authors who have changed the blueprints for romance novels and stories. What were once muffin bake-ware plot lines, filled with a variety of mushy, over-emotional same ol’ - same ol’, have now become intriguing mixtures of thrillers, science fiction, historical and supernatural tales; the icing on a romance storyline or novel.
3 Days in Paradise is an excellent example of this genre mixing. It is a short, but exceptionally well delivered story of supernatural events influencing real life while delivering a message about what might lie beyond. Real characters fill this story along with smart dialogue and tight narrative. Chameleon is expert at holding her cards close while stringing out the suspense; so much so, that you simply can’t put the book down. I strongly recommend this book for anyone who enjoys short, intriguing stories that provide not only entertainment, but also a reason to pause and consider life's many potentialities.
