What drew me to this book was not only the concept of taking a leap of faith, but also the bright warm smile of the author in her photo on the back cover. She looks genuine, happy, caring and warm. That smiling face belongs to Kim M. Martin and Thirty Days of Transition: Taking the Leap of Faith exudes the same genuine, happy, caring and warm tone in the content. The 30-day guide takes us from D-Day (Decided, Destiny, Discovered, Determined, et al) to Transformation while making stops along the way at Confidence, Encouragement, Money Matters, Living Authentically, Letting Go, and more. Day 21 is something I'm still working on - "Letting Go" - where Martin encourages us to "Let go of old habits and negative thoughts. Let go of toxic people. Let go of the fear of failure or the fear of rejection."
Wonderfully organized and formatted, Kim M. Martin's Thirty Days of Transition: Taking the Leap of Faith is chock full of lessons for helping people find a sense of direction and staying positive. Her story about leaving a corporate position but still being tied to her ex-workers by listening to their gripe sessions and having to walk away is something that most of us can relate to and need to do. She also stresses the importance of integrity and trust. Experiencing this book is like she's actually there in person with you, coaching you and providing support as opposed to just reading cold words on a page.
