A mad scientist challenges the Atlanta Police Department to find and save the woman he has abducted before he murders her in the suspenseful crime thriller, 36 Hours by B.J. Woster. Scientist Christian Price experiments with different police precincts across the nation, inciting them to perfect their crime-solving methods. When Christian arrives in Atlanta, he scopes out the ideal unwilling assistants to participate in his experiments. When the police fail to find the first victim in the allotted time, Christian gives the detectives another chance, abducting a second woman. Calling the precinct, the second abductee gives clues to her location, and Christian dares them to recover her in the next thirty-six hours, or she dies. Will the police rise to his challenge? Or will there be more victims?
Enjoy a roller coaster ride of chilling suspense in the breathtaking psychological thriller 36 Hours by B.J. Woster. With an intense first scene, the plot takes off with edge of the seat action. Christian's character is an exemplary example of a sociopath, and seeing his inner thoughts was both alarming and disturbing. The ineptitude of the police department was frustrating and indicated that their protocols failed miserably. I was impressed with how beautifully the story was written and how smoothly the pacing flowed; the author did an excellent job of creating just the right amount of intensity. I was rooting for the police to get to the girls in time, and enjoyed the chase as much as watching Christian plotting and carrying out his dastardly plans.
