G.M. Parrillo brings us an emotionally charged contemporary romance in A Fall for Grace. Grace Nereid is married and a mother of two amazing boys. But her marriage is falling apart, and Grace is tired of the lies and emotional abuse from her husband. She needs a break and decides to head to the shore with her sons for a week. What Grace wasn’t expecting was for her old high school sweetheart to come back into her life. James Wooley is the one who got away. Twenty-seven years later, Grace and Jim had never stopped loving each other. Recently divorced with two daughters of his own, Jim is determined to win Grace back. Will they be able to weather the storms around them and find each other after decades apart?

Author G.M. Parrillo has a phenomenal talent for immediately drawing the reader in and getting them emotionally invested in the characters. What I loved most about this book was the characters' ages. The emotional maturity of the two main characters, Jim and Grace, really resonated with me. Writing in the third person and focusing on the protagonists gives the reader a deeper insight into their thoughts and feelings. Ticking quite a few boxes, this story has love and affection as well as a bit of action. A resounding theme of hope and found family saturates these pages. The plot is brilliant, and the pacing balances it out perfectly. Due to some explicit scenes, A Fall for Grace is suitable for the more mature reader and does not disappoint fans of the genre.
