A Friend for Milton by Laura Williams-Burke is an adorable picture book for young children. A cat named Milton often finds himself feeling lonely whenever his mom leaves the house. One day he wonders if he can find a friend, and looks to see who else lives in his apartment building. There's Rowan at apartment 4, Ralphie at apartment 5, and Sam at apartment 3. Unfortunately for Milton, he is unsuccessful in finding a friend, but just as he is about to give up hope, he is approached by a stray cat that climbs up to his window. Has Milton finally found the friend he has been wishing for? Find out in Laura Williams-Burke's book, A Friend for Milton.

I loved reading every page of Laura Williams-Burke's book, A Friend for Milton. It has an adorable storyline of a lonely cat finding a friend, which brought tears to my eyes. Children are going to love this beautiful story and, hopefully, it will inspire them to be more confident when trying to make friends of their own, as it can be hard for them. The illustrations by Ashley Idell have been created perfectly for the story and they also help bring the characters alive. The writing has been kept simple to allow children to read along easily and to fully enjoy the story. I recommend A Friend for Milton to anyone who has children, especially if they are shy when meeting new people. I loved this wonderful book, so please keep writing, Laura, and I hope to see more in the future!
