A Walk In Ola's Shoes (Adventures in Ola’s Shoes Series Book 1) is a children’s picture book by Victoria Deodato with illustrations by Khan. Ola is a ten-year-old girl who loves animals. She keeps her strength up by doing yoga with her animal friends and hates it when people abuse them. She devises a plan to help lost and abandoned animals. Whether bats, cats, dogs, or birds, Ola saves them all. One day, she attends a party where balloons are released into the open air. Ola is bothered by this act because the balloons will harm flying birds and land in rivers, lakes, and forests. All these places are homes for animals, and the unwelcome balloons will cause pollution. Ola decides to stand up and give a moving speech that touches many hearts.
I enjoyed reading A Walk In Ola's Shoes because it is a creative story with a powerful message about protecting animals and safeguarding nature. I loved that real people inspired the characters, and Victoria Deodato brings each of them to life with her engaging writing skills. Ola is only a child, but she is a brave and kind person who will inspire young and older readers to fight for what is right. And in this case, it saves animals and keeps our environment clean. Animal extinction and pollution are big problems in the world today, and teaching the younger generation about these issues can lead to a shift in our evolution. This book also contains beautiful illustrations of nature, the sky, and adorable characters. The greenery, the clouds, and the floating feathers and leaves gave the book a heavenly vibe. I recommend parents and caregivers read this book with their children and teach them the importance of protecting our environment.
