ABC My Hair and Me celebrates the diversity of hair with each letter of the alphabet in a series of charming messages. Miyosha Streets gives us a unique perspective, highlighting how great hair is, how versatile it is, and how much fun reshaping it can be. Sometimes a type of hair can seem problematic, but that does not take away the possibility of being able to transform it into something wonderful. ABC My Hair and Me is made up of fun pictures, melodious phrases, and a lot of enthusiasm. It is a very useful book for children not only because of the positive perspective it offers but also because of the confidence that it can help instill.
It's delightful to see different positive messages on each page of ABC My Hair and Me. Miyosha Streets is very aware that hair is an important part of us and that some children may not feel entirely comfortable with its shape, color, or appearance, but these phrases can lift their spirits, inspire them to look for new styles, and help them to appreciate who they are. ABC My Hair and Me uses simple and fun images, and it’s very easy to identify with them. I loved the way Miyosha Streets expresses her message and how she reaffirms it on each page with a very well-done presentation. Children will be able to learn and at the same time understand how versatile their hair can be. This is a good book with a great lesson for everyone.
