Accidental Tryst by Mia London is the story of a couple who thought they had their happily ever after right by their side, but they didn’t realize that time and miscommunication had the potential to ruin everything if they were not careful. Mac and Angie have two beautiful boys that they love dearly. They both have successful careers and they work hard to provide the best for their boys. While everything is going great, love and romance seem to have died in their relationship. Overworking and trying to make something work that doesn’t really want to have taken a toll on their relationship. Angie is ready to give up, feeling their relationship is nothing but a lost cause. However, Mac is not ready to let it all go. He has a plan to win his wife back and he hopes that it will ignite the spark once again. But the line between love and lust is very thin, especially when you are trying to sort out the hurt and anger of years. What are these two going to do? Can they make it work?
Boy, was this story like a breath of fresh air. It is great to read a story that gives a deeper glimpse of what happens when the characters fall in love and what their lives are after decades of living together. The honeymoon phase is very entertaining to read, but this was a lot more fun. This is because the characters have matured a lot, they understand themselves better and they “know” what they want. They are much more relatable, their struggles and the hurdles in their way are very real and believable. I loved the conversations Mac and Angie had; these reflected so much about who they were as people. The flow of the story was perfect; it wasn’t too fast or too slow, which allowed the characters to take their time and move at their own pace. Nothing was rushed or hurried, the characters had enough time to rekindle their romance and come out of it stronger. I adored this book!
