Adventures in Serendipity is a contemporary romance drama by M. Erin Earlson. After a tragic accident took the lives of her parents when she was fourteen, twenty-nine-year-old Anderson Elizabeth Sullivan (Andi) has become a successful veterinarian, growing up together with her best friend, Jessica Jane, whose parents took her in as a child. While Jess's failed attempts to set her friend up on blind dates end in disaster, Andi herself stays away from relationships due to a harrowing loss five years ago. When Jess's Uncle Rick, a television producer, seeks her help during a production in Scotland, Andi and Jess travel to that country, where Andi comes across the dashing actor Sean Miller. Soon, sparks fly, and she becomes involved in a blossoming romance. But will a simple misunderstanding drive a wedge in their relationship?

Adventures in Serendipity is a captivating tale of love, friendship, adventure, and intrigue. Set against the backdrop of the breathtaking Scottish Highlands, M. Erin Earlson spins an absorbing yarn that contemporary romance lovers shouldn't miss out on. From the first page onward, you find yourself drawn into the story with the engaging sisterly dynamic between Andi and Jess. Their constant back-and-forth keeps you entertained from start to finish, and Earlson's witty dialogue is bound to get a chuckle or two out of you. Andi and Sean have undeniable chemistry, and you can't help rooting for the two to end up together. The book ends on a cliffhanger, which has made me looking forward to reading the sequel. Overall, I immensely enjoyed the story and feel confident other romance readers will feel the same!

M. Erin Earlson’s Adventures in Serendipity: Discovery and Healing features Anderson “Andi” Sullivan and Sean Miller’s journey to love. At 29 years old, Andi is successful with her mobile veterinary service. Her best friend, Jess, convinces Andi to join her in Scotland to work for her uncle. Andi agrees to go after she attends an animal shelter charity event. While at the event, she gets a strange, tingling feeling. In Scotland, she feels it again as she leaves Charlie's, a pub Jess wants to frequent. At work, Andi feels the tingling when Sean introduces himself. Sean tells her he saw her at the charity event and was surprised to see her at the pub. Sean was the lead actor in the show, and they soon became friends. However, someone intends to interfere with Andi’s job and prevent their relationship.

M. Erin Earlson writes a unique romance story in which Andi and Sean face their past relationships. It was easy to see how Andi’s veterinary skills allowed her to connect with the horses and Sean’s dog. I often forgot Jess was her friend because they relied on each other like sisters do. When things went awry at the barn, the intrigue captivated me as I mentally tried to figure out who would sabotage Andi. Vivid details of the surroundings make it easy to envision the various places the characters visit. Sean’s emotions and intentions were easy for me to understand. When Andi would stomp all over his feelings, I could understand his hurt. The ending has me eager to read the sequel. Adventures in Serendipity will appeal to romance readers who enjoy a suspenseful relationship with a myriad of obstacles.

Five years without emotional entanglements and a veterinarian business running smoothly keep Anderson Sullivan safely in her perfect little world. Her best friend Jessica may want her to socialize more but Anderson would rather avoid the drama. When Jessica suggests they join a relative of hers on one of his productions in Europe, the last thing Anderson expects to find is an adventure, but once she sets eyes on Sean Miller she knows that it will be a tough ask. Miller may have his businesses sorted out but his heart lacks the same kind of order. Anderson looks like the sort of person who can provide that but is he willing to take the plunge? Only time will tell in Adventures In Serendipity by M. Erin Earlson.

Much like the title suggests, the storyline is not crafted with the characters being tailored to the needs of their eventual paramours. This gives M. Erin Earlson's story a welcome degree of unpredictability. The characters are impressive with each of them having colorful origin stories that will easily capture the attention of avid romance aficionados. The conversations are easygoing with Jess and Anderson more interested in the ways of the world in a carefree and exciting manner. This makes for some rather interesting subplots centered on the shenanigans that the women on holiday tend to get up to. I particularly like the fortune-telling aspect of Sean's subplot, which makes it even more interesting to follow. Adventures In Serendipity is a sweet story with a mature orientation. It is crafted in a manner that is guaranteed to make it a favorite.
