Meet Amy and Alex in Alex and Amy’s Great Adventures: Coloring Book by Tammy Seebecker Brown. Amy likes to try on clothes and you may feel she’s playing dress up. She’s going to be a famous fashion designer and she likes tea parties. Alex and Amy get along well till she borrows his CD with his favorite song. They like doing somersaults, flips, and jumps on the trampoline. They like to go swimming and diving in the deep end. Amy loves all animals and she would have a zoo if her parents let her. Alex and Amy love to visit their grandparents' farm in Wisconsin because they can play with the animals and pets there, and all their cousins. Read the story to learn about Alex and Amy’s adventures on the farm.
The story is fun and what I liked about this book is that it is not only a storybook but also a coloring book and that makes it even more fun and enjoyable to use at home and in school. Children can let their imaginations run wild and color the pictures in their favorite shades. The author pulls in young readers to be part of the story by giving them the opportunity to color the characters and the scenes in the book. Children will be able to have fun as they learn new things. Children need more storybooks like this because it encourages both reading and coloring. They also learn about life on a farm in a fun and interactive way along with Alex and Amy.
