All You Need Is Life by Leonard Ryzman is a collection of jokes that are based on the simple things that happen in our daily life. Leonard Ryzman takes these simple things and narrates them in a totally different way and turns them into a bunch of rib cracking jokes. Each one page-long event is a different joke so you have something different to laugh about on every page. The way he narrates his day-to-day events and encounters made me look at life in a totally different way. He turns innocent looking events into something else and makes you look at life from a different angle.
All You Need Is Life is all about getting a different perspective on life, or something like that. Just when you think you have understood a certain innocent sounding statement, you will realise, just a few more words later, how wrong you were. You never know what the next joke will be or which aspect of life it will touch. He takes simple titles and twists them around to crack your ribs. This is like getting a dose of stand-up comedy, and then some more. The stories, or call them hilarious concoctions, are full of humour and they are all original. I read most of them more than once and I am sure I will be reading them repeatedly. I read the book with a permanent grin on my face, an occasional chuckle and frequent outbursts. It is a true stress-reliever.
