Ernie Bisquets was a common thief. As he pickpocket he was one of the best. It was destiny that he picked the pocket of Lord Patterson Coats back in 2007.

Patterson was the head of ELAC ”East London Adventures Club”. Founded in 1856 for the purpose of finding and acquiring antiques for major British museums. 150 years the organization is still active and works closely with the Crown.

The ELAC needed a person knew the back alleys and their way around the underworld of London. Ernie fit the bill perfectly. His first mission involved the theft of a valuable art masterpiece. Murder, theft, crime and dangerous but beautiful women abound in this book.

“Along Came A Fifer” is a fun exciting book to read. The characters are lively you cannot help but fall in love with them. Once you get started you won’t be able to quit. You have to see what will happen next. This is the first book in the East London Adventures Club. I look forward to the next installment. Great reading, great characters, well written.
