Amazing Animal Stories is a collection of stories for children. As the title proclaims, the stories are about animals and their oftentimes, very humorous and uncanny likeness to their human counterpoints. The children's stories range from very cute to downright funny and each story has an illustration of the animal that is written about before the story starts so it’s a great way to share with children and teach them about the different animals. These are very short stories so it will keep the attention of all young children and the interest of older children as animal stories are a delight for all ages.
Author Sophia Frazier writes lovingly about her past pets and animals she has been in contact with. The reader can feel her passion and love for animals with the great care in the stories she shares with us. This is a great book to teach children about animals and fostering their love for these tiny and great creatures. My favorite stories have to be the two about the talking birds. I thought they were adorable and truly delightful, especially the Cockatoo saying to his owner “You pooped in the floor!” I wish there was a book exclusively dedicated to talking birds as it is amazing what some birds learn and keep saying. After reading this book, you will have a great smile on your face and a feeling of overall peace. Animals have a very therapeutic effect on people and just reading about them can also give you that effect.
