As Good A Man There Never Was by Simon Wright is an enthralling story inspired by Charles Dicken's A Christmas Carol. The reader learns about Isaiah Moore's professional life from an interview. Isaiah is a man of outstanding achievements and a trustworthy, home-grown entrepreneur. He aims to produce things that can change lives for the better and forever. Next, the reader learns that on Christmas Eve, Isaiah is being visited by the spirit of his dead childhood friend, Marty Obenga. Marty tells Isaiah he will soon be visited by three spirits: the Ghost of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come. This shocks Isaiah as he genuinely believes he is a good person who did everything he could to help and improve all lives. Why would the spirits be visiting him?
As Good A Man There Never Was is a masterpiece that moves readers to think about their actions, moral perceptions, and changes in their ways. It's an outstanding supernatural novel that shows us we cannot be blamed for the evil in other people's hearts and that doing good deeds is futile without accountability. Simon Wright challenges us to look at how we can affect those whose influence and power threaten the future of our species for this can restore faith, bring balance, or alter motivations. He reminds us to respect and accept all races, cultures, political beliefs, religions, and genders to break down barriers that have existed for generations. This riveting piece of literature is destined to become a classic. I can't recommend it highly enough.
