Christopher Finds a Castle is a children's rhyming story by Caleb Lee. Featuring illustrations by Anastasia Shakh, this picture book follows the adventures of Mother Bat and her pups on a cold, stormy night on the English moors. Wet, cold, and looking for sanctuary, Mother Bat and her pups suddenly come across an eerie-looking castle in the middle of nowhere. Once inside, the pups are scared as the castle looks haunted. So, Mother Bat tells them the story of Christopher, a black cat hated by the townsfolk, who also found a home in a similar haunted castle. When Christopher came upon the resident ghost of the castle, he was scared as well. However, he soon discovered that the ghost only wanted to be his friend, and Christopher had been searching for friends all along.
Sometimes, we find ourselves in situations that test our resolve and resilience. During these times, the ability to look for the good and find hope can go a long way in ensuring that we overcome our challenging circumstances. Christopher Finds a Castle is a rhyming tale that teaches a gentle lesson about positivity and hope. Using catchy and singable rhymes, Caleb Lee tells a captivating story that will appeal to children and parents alike. In addition, the stunning artwork makes the book so much more engaging, especially for young readers. All the characters featured in this picture book are animals. Mother Bat and her pups are adorable, and I also liked Christopher's personality. The ending is heartwarming, and I think other readers will feel the same. All in all, it's a fantastic picture book for children!
