Author Biography

B. Lising believes in the perfect consistency of the Scripture—that all books of the Bible hold only a single message. He is also convinced that the last book is the summary of the whole Bible—the book of Revelation will connect all the dots and will reveal to us the big picture.

B. Lising got his first copy of the Bible at the age of 14. The year was 1986, and after only twelve months, he was able to read entirely the Old Testament once and the New Testament twice. He recalls that he did not understand much then, but he loves to read the Scripture.

Back to Where We Came From: Our Foretold Journey by B. Lising is a Christian non-fiction guide wherein the author details the streamlined message of the scriptures in a way that makes their consistency difficult to dispute. Over the course of seven chapters, Lising breaks down misconceptions and then leads us back, using scripture in context, to the perfection of God and His control over our lives, our destinies, and our journey. Lising begins with the prophecies that are written with absolute clarity and moves to the often flipped notion that God created darkness when in fact He gave us light, and how this transitions into baptism. From there, he transitions into one, two, and three deeply convincing outlines of the constant motion of God as the Old Testament solidifies its marriage with indisputable, correlating scripture of what is to come.

It's no easy task to put together the universal truth of God's word and what it means in a way that is approachable for even those with little more than a cursory understanding of the Bible. It can feel overwhelming and uncomfortable, not so much for what it says but for what many of us seem to believe it doesn't say. B. Lising flips this coin in a way that we understand how there really is nothing that isn't said, and the scripture is only confusing because we have made it feel that way. Back to Where We Came From is the first book I've cracked open on theology where I walked away with no questions. Zero. How it took forty-three years for me to finally begin to figure this out is beyond me, but it is not beyond God. And therein lies the crux of what should never be called into question: God is in control. God has a plan. “We all have one common journey, and every stage of this journey is a representation of that message from eternity.” Amen to that.

Back to Where We Came From: Our Foretold Journey by B. Lising is an inspirational book that takes readers back to their biblical roots and echoes in a compelling manner. The central message of the Bible is being prepared for the ultimate encounter with God. In this book, the author takes readers on a spiritual odyssey, inviting them to re-evaluate their relationship with God, a relationship that is fondly referred to as a “friendship.” This book explores the dimensions of the relationship and discusses how God intended the relationship to work. The book explores the deeper meaning of prophecy and the mission that believers receive through baptism. And most importantly, the book explores the seven virtues of God manifested in the kingdom Gospel.

Back to Where We Came From: Our Foretold Journey is a book that readers need to pay attention to; it is written by someone who received his first copy of the Bible at the age of fourteen and read the entire book over twelve months. His quest for the knowledge of God and His word is masterfully exhibited in this book. I have read many spiritual books that deal with themes of prophecy, union with God, and our ultimate purpose. B. Lising seems to be among the top-tier authors who have written about the message in the scriptures with great clarity, allowing readers to see the connection between the different passages and the Divine logic. Back to Where We Came From: Our Foretold Journey invites readers to read their story in the light of the prophecies in the Bible. The writing is simple and enticing, littered with biblical references and insightful passages. It is not a book about God, but one about humanity in God’s story.

Back to Where We Came From is written by B. Lising. In times of uncertainty and when we are facing a crisis or other traumatic event, we sometimes wonder what is our true purpose here on Earth. Mankind has struggled to agree on the meanings of the Scriptures. This is because there are invisible forces that are influencing our beliefs and thought patterns. In order to answer the complex questions surrounding the reason for our existence, we have to go back to the beginning. The Gospel is our only connection to eternity and so by understanding the teachings within the Gospel, you will gain a clear insight into what your life mission should be. Throughout your spiritual journey, you may also question God's goodness and why he allows terrible things to happen. Did he foresee these events and if so, was he powerless to stop them? As much as we try to follow a virtuous and righteous path in life, what if we are defenseless against the temptations of sin?

Back to Where We Came From by B. Lising is a great guide for breaking down all the questions many of us have around life, death and why we are here. The author explains everything in such a clear and concise way. His interpretations of the Gospels were so uplifting and comforting. I was totally gripped by his definition of the book of Revelation and the message God wanted mankind to receive. I also thought the sections on the meaning behind baptism were helpful and interesting. The story of Adam and Eve and the Garden Of Eden was so relatable to today's society as we are still facing temptation. The chapter around the Two Conflicting Powers has to be the most profound for me as the author's explanation made so much sense. This quote from the book was incredibly poignant: 'Death and evil stand for the absence of God. To be clear, life has no meaning without death, just as good has no meaning without evil.' There is so much fascinating content within the pages of this book, you will definitely feel totally enlightened and uplifted by the time you turn the last page.

In Back to Where We Came From, one thing is made clear: "The only way we can know our origin and purpose is to see the whole account of the Gospel." However, B. Lising reveals that knowing the end of the fulfillment of the Gospel is imperative in understanding the middle and the beginning parts. Additionally, the author discusses the three major prophetic instructions that were given in relation to the Gospel, the seven virtues of God that were manifested in the Kingdom Gospel, the major stages of our foretold journey, and the complete picture of our Creator’s great plan of salvation—including the reason all of us need to be born on earth. By dissecting significant passages in the Bible, the truth about our prophesied journey will be revealed.

As someone who has read the entire Bible, I am impressed by the correlation of the points in Back to Where We Came From: Our Foretold Journey. The arguments are well backed up by scriptures that prompt readers to read further and find out more about the Gospel. I learned some new things about creation and what the afterlife is prophesied to be like. Nonbelievers and Christians who are falling away may find the answers to the questions they seek in this book and even Christians may reaffirm their faith or be further convinced with B. Lising's interpretations of the scriptures. The well organized and carefully written Back to Where We Came From is recommended to readers who wish to read a concise summary of the Gospel of Christ and discover why we are here on earth.

Back to Where We Came From: Our Foretold Journey by B. Lising is an intriguing non-fiction look at the history and future of mankind from the author's perspective, using the final book of the Bible, the Book of Revelation. The author delves into questions most of us have had at one time or another: Who are we? Where do we come from? What is our purpose in life? According to Lising, the answers to these and similar questions lie in our origins, and our origins are explained in the Bible. The entirety of the Gospel explains where we come from and what our purpose is here on planet Earth, and Revelation is a synopsis of the Bible, housing the answers to the mysteries and questions we have while revealing the grand scheme of things. If you've ever wondered about the origins of the human species and what lies in store for us according to our pre-determined path, jump right into this book.

Basically, the author takes you on a quick tour of important points, from Genesis to Revelation, the Alpha and Omega, the beginning to the end--and then a new beginning. This book is perfect for those into Bible prophecy and end-time events, but also for those wanting to know about the Creator, salvation through Christ, friendship with God, and other biblical concepts. Many readers shy away from Bible prophecy and the Book of Revelation, but reading it just once can change the way you think about God, Christ, life, and the future. Also, it is the only book in the Bible that promises a blessing to those who read it. What I like is the author's condensed style, which gets right to the point and is clear about it, and clear about New Jerusalem. Once you realize that the Book of Revelation is a roadmap for the future and a glimpse into what the second coming of Christ will be like, you will get a sense of our origins, the past, and your purpose. I also like this point that the author makes: All Bible prophecy points to the Savior, Jesus Christ, who says you must be "born again" to enter heaven. Back to Where We Came From: Our Foretold Journey by B. Lising is a must-read Bible companion for Christians and non-Christians looking for answers.

Back To Where We Came From: Our Foretold Story is a brief overview of some important passages from the Bible as interpreted by author B. Lising. Lising cites multiple excerpts from John the Apostle's writings and expands upon their in-depth meaning. According to B. Lising, the Gospel is the testimony of the Lord Jesus from eternity, which gets proclaimed through the Spirit of Prophecy. The Spirit of Prophecy is also known as The Spirit of Unity that was promised to all. The Book of Revelation was intended to prove that the Gospel is a single message. He emphasizes that the Book of Revelation shows us the perfect consistency of the Scriptures and that the last book of the Bible will show us the big picture.

Although geared primarily towards Christian readers, Back To Where We Came From: Our Foretold Journey is also written in a way that is highly accessible even to non-Christian readers who are interested in the teachings of the Bible. Lising's book is well-researched, informative, and quite an engaging read. He goes to great lengths to describe the teachings of the Bible in vivid detail, but the narrative never feels bogged down as it's always succinctly put and concise. It is also nicely structured, and the prose feels smooth as butter. I think practicing Christians will adore this book. I am glad that I read it, and I like to believe that I've grown a bit wiser because of it. I would highly recommend it to readers of religious texts.

The book Back to Where We Came From is such an amazing book. Many Christians still have questions left unanswered, and I must say all the bible facts and evidences the author presented is difficult to refute. The things that I have never paid attention previously are highlighted in this book. The complex things are made simple now without neglecting any important message our God wants us to know.

This is not a how-to-live-a-righteous life type of book rather this book will open your mind and heart in God’s real message to us mankind. It is so Biblical and powerful; all the claims are supported by Scriptures that connects from the beginning till the end. This book has helped enlighten my mind on the mystery that covers the Revelation. The mystery is no longer a mystery but a beautiful story of God’s love for us, what Jesus Christ has done and what He continually do to us.

Highly recommended

Back to Where We Came From:Our Foretold Journey by B. Lising is a book like no other. Surprisingly, its uniqueness and well-supported claims by the scriptures itself happen to render a very compelling message that every Christian reader should not miss! As tons of books tried to decipher the contents of the Holy Bible, resulting to tons of interpretations as well, this book is not one them! It simply unravel the mystery, the only message our God wanted us to see right before our very eyes.

I believe that the author, B. Lising, truly desires that every Christian who wanted to learn and understand the prophesy, the purpose of our existence and the union with our Creator is comprehensively stated in a very simple but rather authoritative manner. This book has completely shown the "big picture", the entirety of the Kingdom Gospel and God’s perfect plan of salvation, which some, if not, most Christians have missed in their journey as believers.

I personally believe that this book is the perfect guide and reference for all the questions and how to come about in understanding the scriptures - as it only come into one message. From the beginning to the end, and all the in-betweens, the author has laid the answers and has opened our minds to the new level where mystery has turned into the light of truth.
