In Baghdad Heist, a Charlie Glass thriller by J.J. Carson, FBI Agent Charlie Glass is sent to Iraq to recover artifacts and other treasures stolen from the Baghdad Museum, including the Golden Chalice of Ur. Although new and inexperienced, Charlie becomes wary after being attacked while sleuthing and when team members go missing. Dodging bullets and lies becomes a daily occurrence to stay alive. Not knowing who to trust, Charlie relies on her survival instincts when she realizes how deeply rooted some colleagues are in the crime syndicate. As she becomes the hunted, Charlie’s determination to do her job despite the deadly odds against her only angers the people who don’t want any interference in their illegal smuggling.

Baghdad Heist is a riveting action-packed story. Agent Charlie Glass has earned my admiration for bravery. She endured so much pain and disappointment yet never gave up, despite the many obstacles in her way. Her skills and wits quickly developed whenever she was faced with a problem. There were many fascinating twists in the story. Attempting to figure out who the traitors were was not easy, as they wore their poker faces well. At no time did the story lag as J.J. Carson kept the writing tone exciting and intriguing. Readers will get clear, touching imagery of Baghdad from another perspective. Between April 10-13, 2003, over 15,000 objects were stolen from the Iraq Museum. More than 8,000 precious artifacts remain unaccounted for. I think the cover illustration is beautiful. The author also included a website link for readers who want to know more about Agent Charlie Glass and her adventures. Baghdad Heist will not disappoint!

Baghdad Heist: A Charlie Glass Murder Mystery Thriller by J.J. Carson reveals that Paris auctions were crammed with looted artifacts from Iraq. Charlie Glass was helping the Arabic Studies team in Paris track and trace these artifacts. Charlie was also a member of the FBI Art Crimes Team and was sent to Baghdad to find artifacts that were taken from the Baghdad Museum during the Iraq War. Before Charlie left for Baghdad, she was told that the more information she provided in her reports, the quicker it would be to assist her. Charlie was warned to be vigilant and had to take all necessary protection measures. Charlie uncovered an international criminal conspiracy among her team members and found herself in a life-or-death struggle. Due to mysterious killings and distressing betrayals, Charlie had no idea who she could trust.

Baghdad Heist by J.J. Carson is a roller coaster ride of hurt, treachery, and murder. The author created a world that I could visualize and become part of. The story was fast-paced and jam-packed with action. I was intrigued from the first page and was hooked. I could not turn the pages fast enough because I had to know what would happen next. The suspense kept me on the edge of my seat. The characters were brilliantly developed. They were authentic and robust and each character contributed to the success of the story. The descriptions of the events were vivid and produced powerful feelings and clear images in my mind. The story was excellently written and had a fitting ending.

In Baghdad Heist by J. J. Carson, the author has taken the events of the years 2020 to 2023 in the Middle East with the American Army in Iraq and bad guys looting the museums and selling the treasures on the black market to whoever offers the highest price. J. J. Carson uses the characters in the most interesting and exciting ways from the simplest to the most experienced military or CIA operatives. This thriller will have the reader turning pages late into the night as the twists and turns the plot takes are not what they expect and the end of the book is unpredictable. Each of the characters leads the reader through the events and helps unfold the twists and turns that will take the reader by surprise each time. The best part is realizing that good and bad are found in companies and organizations that you would normally trust.

Baghdad Heist by J.J Carson catches the reader's attention from the first page to the last page with a twist and ending that is not expected at all. It is very well written and makes the reader realize that the world is changing and that women are just as good at getting the bad guys, tackling them, and shooting their way out of trouble to survive. It was a very enjoyable book to read and well worth a second read. What an exciting story. it is very well written and makes a lovely change from the predictable thrillers on the market. Thank you, J. J. Carson, I really enjoyed it, and what a different take on a familiar genre.

Charlie had developed the superstition that a button she had found while hiking with her father would protect her. Surprisingly, it had come in handy in her greatest hour of need. Iraq had gone crazy with abductions everywhere and an insatiable hatred for foreigners. Yet this is where Agent Charlie Glass had been sent to make a difference. Baghdad Heist by J.J. Carson is a meticulously written book that will capture the reader's attention. From the word go, Hank had warned Agent Glass not to trust anyone. Who can she rely on when betrayal seems to come from all sides? Kirk seems loved and knows everyone; is it Dempsey, the friendly ghost, or Tariq, the foreigner whose self-proclaimed love for his motherland is limitless?

As the story unfolds in Baghdad Heist by J.J. Carson, the twists and turns will keep the reader on edge. Carson has managed to use mystery and suspense to great effect. One cannot wait to learn what happens in the following chapters as this story of betrayal unfolds. The characters are well-developed, and the vivid descriptions of events and emotions of the characters go a long way toward capturing the reader's attention. I believe this book would make a great movie if adapted into one. I also loved the book's unique perspective on the Iraq war and its impact on the population, as well as other aspects such as art and culture. This has made the book entertaining and thought-provoking on the topic of war when the world is facing rising threats of war. Baghdad Heist by J.J. Carson is a must-read.
