Colonia: Battle of the Trinity is a work of fiction in the science fiction, action, and adventure sub-genres, and was penned by author A. L. Mengel. Written as the second novel in The Vega Chronicles, our story continues as we return to the action following the events of The Arrival of Destiny. In this new work, the different groups and factions across the universe square up against one another and prepare for battle. As a Star Force forms ready for intense warfare, an ominous portent suggests that looking back to the very origins of the universe itself may be the solution to everything. So begins an epic quest of discovery and survival.
Author A. L. Mengel has crafted a sweeping narrative that brings us a grand scale of universal conflict on the verge of total annihilation but also develops a fascinating exploration of the deep, dark origins of the universe itself. Hardcore science fiction fans will appreciate this scientific grounding and the well-established world in which the story is set, and there are also more close-up moments with various members of the cast which bring us into the tale to emotionally relate to the consequences more. The novel is exceedingly well balanced on these fronts to deliver a full picture of events, and I really enjoyed how the dialogue was utilized both to characterize figures and move the plot forward without the need for extra-wordy exposition. Overall, I would certainly recommend Colonia: Battle of the Trinity for science fiction fans seeking a new and exciting read.
