Bedtime Search and Find: Goodnight Sleepy Animals by Fei Zheng-Ward is an activity book that invites children and their caregivers to look closely and find hidden animals and objects across different environments. This isn’t a traditional storybook; each page is a themed search-and-find adventure from forests and savannahs to deserts, oceans, cities, and more, with detailed scenes full of critters, plants, and fun things to spot. At the end, there’s a treasure trove of animal facts that share quirky elements about them. There are also a few engaging questions for kids that encourage them to think about their own favorites, such as which creatures they would want as nighttime companions, and which picture they would find them in. This book is full of charm and offers a soothing way to help a child relax before sleep.
I really enjoyed Bedtime Search and Find because it makes learning feel like an adventure. Fei Zheng-Ward combines playful interest with gentle factual tidbits that are perfect for youngsters. Nabila Amanda’s illustrations are bright, busy, and full of inviting features that encourage children to linger and look again. As an educator, I know kids will love this book because of their affection for creatures big and small. I also appreciate the extension questions at the end—they’re perfect for sparking discussions with little ones who need a bit more time to wind down. I could easily see this book becoming a favorite bedtime choice, offering something new to discover each night. It not only strengthens observation and vocabulary skills but also fosters a sense of calm curiosity, making it an engaging bridge between playtime and sleep.
