Author Biography

Mishael Austin Witty obtained a B.A. in psychology (a major she chose at the last minute in a fit of rebellion) from the alma mater of Pearl S. Buck, and an M.A. in experimental psychology (a field she chose because she didn’t think she was cut out for counseling) from the University of Louisville. After she completed her master's degree, her graduate advisor suggested that she find another line of work because her heart just wasn't in psychology.
Dazed and a little confused, she checked every career book and help wanted ad she could find, and decided that she would, in fact, like to become an editor - a position she held in various companies until the birth of her second daughter, after which she became the casualty of budget cuts and decided to strike out on her own as a freelancer, with which she has had some good success.

Not completely satisfied to edit other people's writing, Ms. Witty decided it was time to start trying to write and publish her own work. Her international bestseller, SHADOWS OF THINGS TO COME was a direct result of this, as were her sweet contemporary romance novella, BELIEVE IN ME, and her historical novel, SUN’S PARTING RAY.

And when the opportunity to have a short story traditionally published in Kathi Macias’s Twelve Days of Christmas series, she took it. Another opportunity soon followed, and she was thrilled to become part of the SAN FRANCISCO WEDDING PLANNER team.

She currently lives in Louisville, KY, with her husband, three cats, and two daughters.

Trina's life is taking a nose dive. It is Christmas and she is lonely. Plus, to cap it all off, her impending divorce is dampening her spirits. Walt was the love of her life. He was her first and only and she was the same for Walt. Until last year, a few days before Christmas changed everything and now things are not the same. Her heart broke when Walt destroyed their relationship and there is nothing that she can do. She will never forgive him. Ever!

Walt was pacing the living room of that same damn house that ruined everything...where everything was ruined because of him making one stupid mistake. And that mistake cost him his wife. He will do anything to have her back. Anything at all, she just has to give him another chance and he is sure that he will make her believe in him once again.

Mishael Austin Witty's Believe In Me is a wonderful novel that rekindles the Christmas feeling. The urge to forgive and forget is amazingly portrayed in this novel. The story is short but it is well developed and you can just feel Mishael Austin Witty putting her one hundred percent into the story. The characters of Walt and Trina are just perfect and endearing. When every writer is trying to make their male hero broken and twisted, Mishael shows that a healthy and whole male protagonist can be just as strong and driving. I just loved it!
